I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computing Science, the University of Alberta, under the supervision of Prof. Ioanis Nikolaidis, and am an ​Alberta Innovates Graduate Fellow. I have been selected as one of the 100 Young Computer Science Researchers worldwide to attend the 9th Heidelberg Laureate Forum 2022. I worked as a Junior Research Fellow in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India, under the guidance of Dr. Ketan Rajawat. I received the Master of Science (by Research) (MS) degree from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India, under the supervision of Prof. Sudip Misra and Prof. Narendra Singh Raghuwanshi in 2019. Also, I worked as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in “Development of a Sensor-based Networking System for Improved Water Management of Irrigated Crops” funded by MHRD, Government of India.

 

I received a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (formerly known as West Bengal University of Technology), India, in 2012. I have research experience in both industry and academics. Before joining MS, I worked as product development and support Engineer on the embedded system and Wireless Sensor Networking at Pervcom Consulting Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata, India. After that, I joined as Project Assistant at the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur, India.

 

My current research interest is in Wireless Communication, Wireless Networking, Internet of Things (IoT), and Wireless Sensor Networking (WSNs). I am a Graduate student member of IEEE and a reviewer of several journals and conferences.
